And yes, I too, bought 38DD bras, because that is what "kind of worked". As my husband said, when I excercized, I had to "double bag" to even be reasonably comfortable. Since properly sizing myself at a 34H (FF for european), I have not had that problem.

But, I think that TTOP's problem is just as relevant as ours: Her size isn't stocked. Maybe she can get away with going braless or just using the built in "support" in some camis, but then again, maybe she doesn't feel comfortable doing that. I was offering a solution that worked for me in going online. Of course, living in New York, she probably can find a bra store that is more comprehensive than the department stores and get more selection that way.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2787698713835410146.post-40101532810720299172011-11-22T10:42:13.082-05:002011-11-22T10:42:13.082-05:00Yeah, I'm with you on all your points (I could...Yeah, I'm with you on all your points (I could write severla pages in agreement)- except for 8. I'm not one of the itty-bitty-titty people, mine would be down to my waist by now if I hadn't started buying good quality bras. I went into my pregnancy a 34E and now 8 yrs later I'm a 34G!!

I can tell you: we big-booby people have a bigger problem. If I had itty-bitties and couldn't get my size I think I would just not bother to wear a bra. As it is, I do not have that option.

(Anonymous at 9:32: the trick is to go to a real bra store and get fitted for your correct size; don't buy department store bras. You'll find you need a larger cup size than you've been thought and a much smaller band. I used to buy sizes like 38C because the department store bras don't make large cup sizes for tall relatively-slim people; as you said they only cater to slim women with small boobs and fat women with big boobs. Since I started getting fitted and buying from the bra store 10 yrs ago my problems are over. I'll never buy warners and wonderbra again. I get bras imported from Europe from the bra store, they are more expensive but absolutely worth the price.)lucynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2787698713835410146.post-27985765710784574262011-11-21T09:32:44.799-05:002011-11-21T09:32:44.799-05:00Speaking to the bra issue, I actually have your mo...Speaking to the bra issue, I actually have your mother's problem, and yes, it is a problem when I have already had one reduction and they are bigger than before that. On top of being lucky if stores even carry my cup size, they never have the correct band size, because apparently small framed women don't get big boobs.

Enough complaining, on to a solution. I highly recommend the site Breakout Bras. They have a comprehensive guide on how to measure yourself, because face it, store associates may fudge the size to sell you something in stock. Then they have a wide array of bras in nearly every size imaginable. At the very least, it will give you a larger selection.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2787698713835410146.post-8028373587638863442011-11-21T09:04:45.251-05:002011-11-21T09:04:45.251-05:00Advice I wish I'd gotten so far:

No matter how much you want to nurse, there is no guarantee you will be able to and that doesn't make you a bad mother.Christiananoreply@blogger.com
